My pannier mounts went through 3 revisions on the side plates, 3 revisions on the mounting system and about 5 revs to get the connecting strap dialed in. There was a final mod to the lower mounts and a stiffener to spread the load over a wider area. The original design had too much stress on the tang that mounts via the passenger peg bolt.
