I laminated the aluminum to the shrouds with E-6000, that high tech silcone sealant type product I mention all the time. The shrouds are *VERY* strong now. If I was doing this over I would use ABS plastic and laminate one edge to the shroud and then after that cured I would heat the ABS slowly and form it to fit the shroud and laminate the rest in. I think that would be strong enough.
