One last item to consider. As I show in the graphs that follow, there are very real reasons why getting the most light out in front of you is important if you're over 30 years old. Although I make the case that *just* adding higher output bulbs is somewhat of a waste of money (it's the step I took about 18 months ago), it is true that the new higher output bulbs are a great step up if you do get full voltage out to them. So, you can add 2 Hella Xenon bulbs to the mix for $45 a pair. Clarification: I have finally found out what the deal is on the +n% claims on Xenon. It turns out that the human eye is optimized for daylight color (that old evolution thing) and so as you take the light towards a white daylight color humans can see more with that light. So the bulbs don't actually put out more lumens they just move the color towards daylight. The current bulbs I get are +100% as they are even whiter than the previous series.
